This weekend was a lot lazier than I had planned it to be, so I haven’t finished (still) unpacking my apartment. Mostly now it’s just clothes that I have to deal with, but that’s quite an undertaking for me because I have lots of clothes! In terms of main-room design, I have decided that I [...] Slowly but surely, I’m making progress on my place. I put together a dresser this weekend for the closet, and got another bookshelf for the side of the loft bed, both as additional book storage and to act as a bedside table. My kitchen looks gorgeous! It is the happiest part of my apartment [...] IKEA is environmentally responsible. They even gave folding bikes to their employees to encourage them not to drive to work. IKEA pays its workers a decent wage. IKEA gives health insurance, vacation and other benefits to even part-time workers. The cashiers get more vacation than I do (3 weeks).
